A social worker from Ohio said that she had abused a 13-year-old child sexually while providing treatment.

According to reports from The Columbus Dispatch, WBNS, and WCMH, Payton Shires entered a guilty plea to charges including four counts of unlawful sexual misconduct with a juvenile.

According to earlier reports, Shires was initially taken into custody in October when the mother of the victim discovered communications exchanged between her son and the counselor about a tape purportedly showing the two having sex.

Shires questioned the boy in the leaked chats about whether or not he had removed the recordings and whether or not his mother had seen them.

According to WBNS, Shires also entered a guilty plea to one count of intimidating a victim or witness and one count of causing panic with a firearm specification.

According to earlier reports from the sites, Shires went up at the boy’s house with a gun following her first arrest. According to court documents cited by WBNS, Shires was screaming to the police that she wanted to kill the boy’s mother and commit suicide while she was seated on the porch with a gun to her head.

According to the Dispatch, Shires confessed to the assault during a controlled three-way conversation with the victim’s mother and the police.

According to sources, Shires’ sentencing is set for June 27 and he may spend more than 20 years behind bars, according to court documents.
