Breaking News Evacuation Order Issued in Bodfish Canyon as Brush Fire Escalates

Bakersfield, California — While firefighters attempt to put out a brush fire that has burnt over 150 acres in Bodfish on Friday afternoon, an evacuation order has been issued.

Just before 3:30 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to the area in Lake Isabella near Redhill Road and Hughes Avenue. According to officials, the Red Fire has scorched at least 150 acres of grass.

Residents in the KRN-748-A zone are under an order to evacuate. Red Hill and Bodfish Canyon locations, designated as KRN-733 and KRN-748-B on the Genasys Project map, are under an evacuation warning.

It is recommended that residents of KRN-748-A depart right away.
